PM Awas Yojana 2024:
PM Awas Yojana 2024 (PMAY-G) was launched on 1 April 2016.The PM Awas Yojana 2024 scheme is run by the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) and its main objective is to provide a safe and convenient pucca house to homeless families and people living in dilapidated houses.PMAY-G is developed to address the housing shortage in rural areas, which plays a crucial role in satisfying the goal of "Housing for All".

PM Awas Yojana 2024: Benefits

PM Awas Yojana 2024: Eligibility
Beneficiaries under PM Awas Yojana 2024 include all homeless families living in zero, one or two roomed houses with kutcha walls and kutcha roofs (according to SECC data, and subject to exemption procedure).
Criteria for automatic/compulsory addition.

•2.Destitute/dependent on alms.

•4.Primitive tribal groups.

PM Awas Yojana 2024: Prioritisation.
•Under Prioritisation, multi-level priority will be determined in the category of PMAY-G beneficiaries.
•First of all, priority will be given on the basis of specifications of housing deprivation, that includes SC/ST, minorities and other groups.
•First of all, priority will be provided to those families who are homeless, followed by priority according to the variety of rooms; Households with absolutely no, one and 2 rooms will get priority respectively.
•In a particular social classification such as SC/ST, Minority and Others, families who are homeless or living in houses with fewer rooms will not be placed below families living in houses with more rooms.
In the above priority groups, families who fulfil the criteria for "compulsory inclusion" will be given further priority.Automatically included families will be given more weightage than other families within the priority group.
The scores will be calculated based on the socio-economic parameters given below, each having equal weightage:.
•Households without any adult member in between 16 and 59 years.
•Female-headed households without any adult male member in between 16 and 59 years.
•Households without any educated adult above 25 years of age.
•Households with a disabled member and no able-bodied adult member Landless households that obtain the majority of their earnings from manual labour will be ranked higher among households with high deprivation scores.
Fixation of targets.
For SC/ST: 60% of the target allocated to each State or Union Territory should be reserved for SCs and STs, depending upon the accessibility of eligible beneficiaries.Within the set targets, the proportion of SCs and STs will be determined by the particular States or Union Territories from time to time.
